This book was a complete page-turner. It took me a little while to get familiar with the period vernacular, so the first chapter was somewhat of a bumpy read for me. However, once I got past that I read the rest of the book within 24 hours. It was one of those books I'm still thinking about even a couple of days later. Completely worth reading just for the story line and writing, but but especially fantastic if you have even a mild interest in San Francisco history. Here's hoping for more works by this author.Product details

Poorly written, inept and very little insight
Well researched and interesting story
This book was a complete page-turner. It took me a little while to get familiar with the period vernacular, so the first chapter was somewhat of a bumpy read for me. However, once I got past that I read the rest of the book within 24 hours. It was one of those books I'm still thinking about even a couple of days later. Completely worth reading just for the story line and writing, but but especially fantastic if you have even a mild interest in San Francisco history. Here's hoping for more works by this author.
